Nail trimming

Summary

Effectiveness

2/3

The result is immediate in terms of length, regularity and gripping edges.

Accessibility

3/3

A nail clipper and a file are enough for a few minutes of regular maintenance. The equipment is affordable and lasts a long time when well maintained.

For the hands, keep the nails short, leaving about 1 to 2 mm of white at the tips, without cutting flush with the skin. Cut almost straight, then round the corners with a file to obtain a softened square. Proceed in small cuts, without biting into the sides, and file in one direction. At the feet, keep a straight edge and visible corners, without cutting flush.

Leave the cuticles intact and do not pull off the nails or small pieces of skin. For skin and general appearance of hands, see Hands.
