Eyebrow grooming

How it works

The cut preserves the follicle

The scissors cut the hair shaft that protrudes from the skin. The follicle continues its activity, which allows length to return. This cut does not create new hairs or increase their diameter. A straight cut end may only feel harsher to the touch than the naturally fine end of an intact hair.

Hair removal removes the hair from its base

The tweezers remove the hair instead of only shortening the visible part. Regrowth is therefore generally less quickly noticeable, but ordinary hair removal does not guarantee permanent disappearance. Follicles go through different phases of growth and rest; not all hairs removed at the same time reappear together. Avoid planning a major correction by counting on regrowth on a fixed date.

Styling distributes available density

A lying hair can cover a small sparse area while the same standing hair reveals more of the skin. Brushing changes this distribution and therefore the apparent thickness of the eyebrow. This is why we evaluate the length after having returned the hairs to their usual position: the cut can remove an end which usefully contributed to the continuity of the line.

The transparent gel deposits a fixing material which helps the hairs maintain the chosen direction after drying. It acts on their position, without adding pigment or stimulating the follicle. Too much can clump them together or leave visible residue; a light coat is often enough to maintain the brushing result.
