Choose the product and shade

If the hairs are quite numerous but light, try a tinted gel first with a small brush. If the problem is mainly a hole or an inconspicuous tail, choose a pencil with a fine point. You don't need to buy both up front. A transparent gel only fixes the shape: it does not meet the objective of darkening.

Start with a color close to the visible hairs and gradually increase the contrast. On blonde or light brown eyebrows, a taupe or light brown may be easier to apply than a dark brown. Also check the reflection: a too red tint can be noticed on ashy hairs. With black hair, try a very dark brown or gray-brown first before choosing an intense black.

Apply a small amount

Brush clean, dry eyebrows to put the hairs back in place. With the tinted gel, wipe off the excess on the tube wringer and pass in the direction of growth. Start with the body and tail, then use what's left on the brush at the head. Do not try to soak all the skin under the hair.

With a pencil, add a few short, thin lines only in the spaces to be softened, following the direction of the neighboring hairs. Keep pressure light, especially at the beginning of the eyebrow. Avoid the filled rectangle, the continuous line under the entire line and the tail extended very far: these details make the makeup more visible than the small irregularities you wanted to correct.

Brush and check remotely

Use a clean brush to blend the lines and separate the hairs, then step back from the mirror. Look at both eyebrows with the forehead relaxed and, if possible, in natural light. Add product only where something is still missing. If the line appears too dark, remove some of the material rather than thickening the other brow to compensate.

An overflow can be corrected with a cotton swab lightly moistened with makeup remover suitable for the eye area, without rubbing the entire area. Then let it dry before touching the hairs. For the first uses, take a photo in usual light: it helps to judge the contrast of the entire face, which the magnifying mirror easily makes you forget.

Remove makeup and keep tools clean

Remove makeup in the evening with a suitable product, following its instructions and without pulling on the hairs. For a water-resistant formula, use a makeup remover intended for this outfit rather than multiply rubbing. Keep brushes clean, do not share your products and respect their duration of use after opening.

Only use cosmetics intended for this area and stop applying if the eyes or skin become irritated. This sheet concerns temporary makeup: hair coloring should not be used on the eyebrows. Dyeing or permanent makeup requires another process and cannot be achieved by simply replacing the gel with a more powerful product.
