Eyelash grooming

Summary

Effectiveness

2/3

The result is immediate on crossed or downward-facing eyelashes, but temporary.

Accessibility

3/3

A brush and, if necessary, an eyelash curler are inexpensive and can be reused. The gesture only takes a few moments once mastered.

On clean, dry eyelashes, use a brush to separate the crossing ones, following their natural direction. If the upper eyelashes hang down a lot, an eyelash curler can lift them up. Look for a soft curve, without a marked angle: this is to make the existing eyelashes more visible.

Do not cut lashes or pull on any that resist. The eyelash curler is used before mascara, with the pad intact, then opens completely before being removed. If the eyelashes are already well placed, styling is optional. To understand their form and role, see Eyelashes.
