Resting lip posture
How to use
Make a pout, then release
In front of the mirror, move your lips forward as if to give a kiss. Then release the mouth: let the lips come back until they touch, without pressing them. Do not tuck them towards the teeth. This movement helps you go from a pursed mouth to visible lips at rest.
Check three things
Both lips remain visible, they touch without being crushed and the jaw is not clenched. The mouth returns to its usual width: you no longer kiss. Also leave the chin and the corners of the mouth at rest, without trying to raise them or pull them down.
Find this position during the day
When you notice that you are pursing or tucking your lips, pout again and then release. With practice, you will be able to remove the compression directly without repeating the movement. Use a familiar moment as a reminder, for example by sitting down at the desk, then resume your activity: the mouth continues to move normally to speak and smile.
